2008

It's gonna be 2009 in a few days and as I ponder 2008 was a great great year for me. Now with new challenges and career opportunities this January I'm so very thankful that God blessed all my hard work the past year.

To reward myself I got a few gifts for myself this Christmas, first I bought an HP laptop, then a Nintendo DS Lite (Onyx Black) with 2Gig EDGE Flashcart (for my kids as well) and a collector's item Final Fantasy X Original PS2 DVD (from TipidPC). I'm a Final Fantasy Series Fan so I bought it ^_^, the original price is PHP 2,500++ butI got it for a bargain of PHP500 and in mint condition.



These will keep me busy until JAN 5 along with the Boxed set of HOUSE MD (Season 1-4) that I bought for my marathon tv series run. ^_^

Despedidas and Promotion BlowOuts

Candid, Vhan, Keith and Lester treated us for lunch for their despedida and promotion(Lester) at Harbor Bay View Bistro at MOA last Dec 19. It was a cool get together with old PS friends as well as new ones.we even get to have a picture with Sitti the Bossa Nova Singer who to our surprise was also in the bistro.


Lester who never knew Sitti became an instant fan :P

The Next Challenge

So the news is out, I officially tendered my resignation last Dec 01 and on terminal leave since Dec 16. I'm moving to a new endeavor which will provide me more opportunities for career growth. The great thing about it is I'm going to work with my former team from Peoplesupport which coincidentally got accepted as well. I actually have several offers but most noted are Macquarie's offer and a certain BPO in Ortigas as Incident Manager. It was a tough choice and I chose to be where my former team will also be; the Australian Based Global Financial Company Macquarie.

I will officially start on January 5, 2009 ; Macquarie was very happy with us joining the pioneer global I.T. team that they invited us to the blessing of their newly added floor office in 6750 Makati to augment their growing space needs and at the same time to their Christmas party in Hard Rock Makati last DEC 12, even though we haven't started working yet :P.

What I've learned from CHUCK

Never thought I'd be actually learning something new from Chuck Episode 09 . Officially, Pluto is no longer a planet. It sucks that I only learned about it today but it was already decided 2 years ago.

Heck, now the stuff they're teaching my kids on science must be updated..or else I have to let them watch CHUCK.

So Pluto is now demoted to a dwarf planet or a name of a dog.
