MRC Christmas Party
It was a Barong or Tux event so obviously I went to the Barong which is cheaper and more practical, I don't see myself wearing the same Tux in the next 50 years. The party was a blast and Retrospec band played for us that night at the Grand Ballroom of New World Renaissance Makati. Great party, great venue and great people.

Finally after almost 3 years, I decided to upgrade my phone. Now enjoying Samsung's S5233 Wifi phone, its waaaayy cheaper than iPhone (but I'm still planning to buy one), and most of all it has Facebook widgets :P.

Tech Upgrade
Its been around 3-4 years since I bought my old computer (AMD Sempron 2Ghz) and its pretty much Ok for surfing and downloading stuff since I don't usually play games on the PC. Awhile ago my wife and kids went to Cyberzone SM North Edsa to get a new phone as a Retention plan for my Smart phone line, alas like the one in SM Valezuela SMART Wireless Center the don't
have stocks for the Nokia E63 phone that I like to get with my retention plan. It's gonna take weeks before they can get stocks again and its gonna be a first one first serve basis, no guarantee that I can get one if they have it already. With my disappointment of not getting anything for today, I suddenly had the urge to buy a new CPU. So I went on every store I can find and finally got a good deal on a Pentium Dual Core CPU @ 2.50 Ghz (Less than Php 10K) with the minimum specifications in mind since I can upgrade anytime and I still have my laptop I can use.
So finally after a few hours of setting up my new CPU, here I am blogging with my new tech upgrade.
Am I satisfied? Yes. I'll buy a wireless router next payday so I can surf on my laptop while my wife is using this PC.

Now Playing
So my PSP's been benched for quite awhile now though I usually bring it in the office and play Tekken DR adhoc wifi connection with my officemates, my new DSLite fills my after work play hours. Here's my playlist and a short comment on why I liked them.
#1 Zelda- Phantom HourGlass
How could I ever pass this one out? I am a fan of the series and played one of my very first few Zelda games on SNES and on GBA. Never get tired of it. Using the stylus on the touch screen for attacks , map drawings and movements is simply pure joy.

#2 Prof Layton and the Curious Village. - nice concept for a game where you solve a mystery of the main story with small mind puzzles and each puzzle will give you a clue to progress on the game. And mind you, some puzzles are hard and some you may find somewhat meant for IQ tests.
#3 Time Hollow - what attracted me to this game is that your character can punch a hole in time using his pen to resolve mysteries in the game. Everytime you make changes, it affects all things on your present time to a point a whole day never actually happened.
#4 The World End with You- and Lastly from my fave game developer SquareEnix (Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts series) their entry for the Nintendo handheld console. The battle system is a new concept, your characters fight on both screens and you control them at the same time. I havent progressed much on the game, but it really looks promising, not to mention its anime-ish and the setting is a real replica of AKIHABARA district, The Anime and Gaming hub of Japan.
